Who runs this site
DevOps Insights is run by Neeraj Jha, a DevOps engineer. There is more about him on the About page.
How pages are written
The guides, troubleshooting pages, comparisons, scenarios and articles on this site are drafted with an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic) under my direction. I review each one before it is published.
An AI draft is a starting point, so three things are held to a stricter standard than the draft:
- Sources. Troubleshooting, comparison, scenario, “why”, interview and CI/CD security pages list the official documentation they draw on under Sources. Where something could not be confirmed on an official page, the text says whose claim it is rather than stating it as fact. When those sources were added in October 2026, every page was checked against them, and the claims they contradicted were corrected.
- “Reproduced” means run. When a troubleshooting or comparison page says “Reproduced on Terraform 1.14” or similar, that behaviour was run on that version, not paraphrased from documentation, and the page shows the version and the date near the top.
- Numbers are quoted as their source states them. A figure from a survey names the survey and links to it, and a vendor’s survey is labelled as one.
The assistant
When a page on this site answers your question, the assistant gives you that page’s own words and links to it. When none does, an AI model writes an answer, and the assistant labels it as composed so you know which kind you are reading.
Mistakes and corrections
Commands change and versions move on, so pages go out of date. If you find something wrong or stale, use the Report it link at the bottom of the page or the contact form. Corrections are made on the page itself.
The Q&A forum
Questions and answers in the forum are written by readers, not by this site. Using AI to help write a question or an answer is allowed, on two conditions: say that you did, and run any command before you suggest it to someone else. Answers that are AI-generated without saying so, or that were never tested, may be removed.
